VALENTINO HAUTE COUTURE FALL 2012: Minimalist Impact!

For Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2012, Pierpaolo Piccoli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have combined their talents in true ROMA fashion!

Their vision for Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2012 truly showcased the simple yet dramatic style we have all come to expect from Valentino.

Lots of sheer and revealing designs were shown again this season, very youthful yet elegant.

Maria Chiuri was quoted as saying, "We also think couture is about pure shape."

I agree on this, but I personally prefer a less revealing use of sheer fabrics.

The navy cutout center of this dress seems to me to be more demure than the
"show and tell" effect of the red gown.

I enjoyed the lemon-yellow brocade fabric embellished with crystals on this look.

I truly try to embellish my designs with Swarovski crystals and genuine
gemstones, as I feel that haute couture pieces should be more than a passing trend, but actually be heirloom treasures! Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2012 has some classic velvet and brocade pieces that will definitely stand the test of time. Elegant and always my favorites!

Valentino has always managed to keep their lines sleek and minimalist, but this year's offerings were somehow more revealing and a bit on the "Lucifer" color scheme and had a strangely "dark" feeling.

I respect the signature Valentino's use of sleek and simple
lines. A very Roman touch of classic elegance! The only thing I would wish is the more modest and demure use of sheer silk fabrics and cutouts! Let's pull back a bit from the edge of decadence! After all, how much further should that trend go?

Many haute couture designers are giving a whole new modern meaning to the old fable, "The Emperor is Naked"!

The exceptional Valentino reputation and history should be respected and

We are now servicing all of our custom fashion, bespoke, and couture clients remotely with zero physical contact or fittings necessary. This is the same way we have already been servicing international clients.

We conduct our consultations on zoom.
Then, thanks to 3-D printing technology we take our clients measurements by their 3-D body-scan.
We then conduct their fittings on their 3-D printed mannequin printed from their body-scan. (All new first time clients are required to get a scan and have a print out done. We facilitate this process quickly and easily.)
