Everyone who enjoys the latest haute couture photos of runway designs usually has a few favorite
designers and/or personal style preferences. What grabs your attention
from the latest haute couture images?
I can tell you that I abhor everything "normal" (aka BORING!) that has been done over and over for decades! Give me a break! What I want is Super-Diva Drama! What about you?
Do you fantasize over which elaborate designs in the haute couture
photos you would be daring enough to wear? Or are you a more
conservative personality that is afraid to stand out as different? We
each have a defined fashion personality, though I feel that we all could
be "pushed" by the right friends to try something a bit more
This year's offerings have me drooling! These examples from the haute couture photos on Flicker demonstrate the dramatic mix of textures, metallics, sheers like tulle and organza, and asymmetrical hemlines that I adore!
You all have been exposed to enough couture fashion to have at least one special combination of style that just sings and resonates as your authentic ideal self!
Come on! Now imagine yourself strutting into a fabulous gala in that look! All heads would be sure to turn! If your best concept is still foggy, you are welcome to contact me, and together we will hone in on it!
This is what happened for international Artist Cristy Corso in her j-na couture design consult.
As a result she made such a spectacle at NYC Couture Fashion Week 2013!
See Cristy on the left in the first of our haute couture photos that Andres dragged her next to his designs as the press swarmed after the show.
Andres Aquino, the show founder and amazing couture designer had her walk the runway!
She was outdone for weeks on end from the gravity of the experience. She
had found the look that was truly her own, inside and out, and that is
what makes a powerful impression!
This original concept we
developed in this "Oriental Garden under Glass"
gown made for International Artist Christy Corso for her appearance at
NYC Couture Fashion Week, uses over 30
yards of tulle and metallics for the mermaid skirt under black organza
She and her hubby Brett were just ecstatic!
Cristy kept on flashing the underside of the dress for that extra shot of va va voom! Her personality is so fun, adding another fiesta cultural Spanish element!
We wove her favorite silk scarf of pink cherry blossoms in a Japanese garden into it!
She did feel as dignified and sought after as a true warrior empress in her j-na couture gown.
This concept of a gown was conceptualized by Cristy in her design meeting, she had revealed that deep inside she had harbored the spirit of a warrior empress as expressed in many of her fabulous works of art!
Then as we were picking out fabrics the inspiration for this gown just bloomed like a Oriental Garden in Spring!
Notice the 2 Origami "Ninja Stars" around the neck, giving Christy even more drama. This Asian-inspired gown fits with our vision of "East meets West" for uniting all cultures!
back of the gown done in a sheer corset was the chosen contrast adding
another element of allure and feminine mystery to the warrior empress
theme as seen in the haute couture photos of real people in their best couture concepts.
Cristy Corso being interviewed in her j-na couture warrior empress gown by DMODA TV Puerto Rico at NYC couture fashion week 2013.
See what her good Friend and fellow Famous International Artist Marjan Moghaddam said at her art show before the couture runway show,
The dignified Moghaddam, who had to say :
"I have never acted like a dignified artist in my life. Why should I? I do whatever I want, just like the biggest, "badassedest" male artists there are. Lets face it, Cristy is a work of art herself (in addition to her art), plus that dress was amazing, and those shoes, wearing (th)em borders on performance art. As for what was under the dress, now that was an installation piece!"
